Quick, Easy, and Online Payments 

As part of our shift to virtual offices and commitment to ensuring the safety of our residents and associates, we’re encouraging all residents to set up their online payments through their community’s Resident Portal.  Already set up? Great. If not, we’re here to help make setting up your online payments as simple as possible. 

 

There are three preferred online payments methods we are accepting until further notice: 

Online Resident Portal Payments – electronic check (ACH)  

Online Resident Portal Payments – credit card 

Online Resident Portal Payments – debit card 

 

To set up your online payments, follow these steps: 

Step 1: Log in or create an account in the Resident Portal through your community website. 

Step 2: Go to Payments > Make payments > Payments Account Tab to set up a bank account (or clink link in notification box) 

Step 3: Select Add Bank Account 

Step 4:  Complete Resident bank account information (or credit card information and click “save”). 

 

To set up auto-pay: 

Step 1: Go to the Auto-Pay Setup tab and choose the payment account 

Step 2: Select date to start/end payments and set % to come from selected account (if splitting between accounts, total must equal 100%). 

Step 3: Check Next, verify information, and read/accept Terms and Conditions 

Step 4: Select Setup Auto-Pay 

Step 5: Verify confirmation is received 

 

 

Can’t set up a payment? There are alternative options for you. 

If you’re unable to make payments electronically, you can utilize our cash payment solution WIPS, by visiting a CheckFreePay agent location.  You can find a location near you by visiting  https://www.checkfreepay.com/info/payinperson or calling 1-800-926-9400. Note that prior to going to a location, you will need your unique account number by logging into the resident portal > payment account > look for Walk-In Payment Solutions (WIPS) section at the bottom. Review our WIPS Tip Sheet  for additional information.  

 

Need additional help? Here are the answers to some commonly asked questions. 

 

Can I split a payment with a roommate online? 

Yes! In the Resident Portal, go to Payments > Auto-Pay Setup. From there, you can select your payment percentage, the start/end date for the payment configuration (if desired), and the percentage of the monthly rent that you want to pay from this account.  Your roommate will be notified of the auto payment and they can log in, and select their percent. The auto payment needs to total 100% to be set up.
